Peabody
Peabody is the inland city between Salem, Danvers, Lynn, and Lynnfield, with a downtown and broad neighborhoods. Peabody has two-families, ranches, and colonials. Garages are common and usually residential attached or tucked behind older houses. A house door that will not close or a spring that snapped are the usual calls.
Peabody sees inland of the harbor but close enough for damp coastal winters. Peabody sees street salt and wet snow. Peabody sees less spray than Marblehead. The cable should sit neatly in the drum grooves. A cable that is bird-nested on the drum will unwind wrong and slack off.
We replace it if the strands are damaged, and we rewind a sound cable only when it is truly sound. Do not tug it back on with pliers. A dented section that still moves is not automatically a new door. Rust along the bottom edge is a different conversation.
We will tell you which one you have, and if you hire a replacement the old door can leave with us on install day. Call (781) 602-0737 to book directly.
