Pricing
The free estimate is the price for the door the technician sees.
Size is the first factor. A single bay and a double bay do not use the same springs, and a taller custom opening is not a stock residential door. Weight follows size, insulation, and a decorative face. Heavier doors need springs matched to that weight.
The failed part is the second. A torn bottom seal is not a torsion spring, and a torsion spring is not a new door. If a spring break also chewed a cable or bent a track, the visit is larger because the damage is larger. Access matters: a tight alley, a door under a bedroom, a steep unplowed drive, or a ferry day changes the time on site.
Repair versus replacement is the last fork. A matched panel can be the smaller job when one section is dented and the rest of the slab is straight. Replacement is the conversation when sections are twisted, rusted through, or no longer made. Haul-away of an old door is part of a new installation.
Distance and the calendar are factors too. Same-day service is offered when the schedule can hold the stop. It is not automatic for a far county, the Cape, or an island. No surcharge table is printed. Ask on the call. A customer note mentions fair pricing. That is one person's words, not a rate card.
The price is the free estimate for the door we see. A range would not be your door.
Same-day service does not come with an extra line on the estimate. Call (781) 602-0737 if you need someone today.
