Suffolk County is four municipalities: Boston, Chelsea, Revere, and Winthrop.
Boston's neighborhoods are not separate towns. Dorchester, Jamaica Plain, West Roxbury, Hyde Park, and the rest are Boston. Many blocks have no private garage. West Roxbury and Hyde Park have more house doors than Beacon Hill. Chelsea is tight and near the harbor. Revere runs from the beach inland. Winthrop is a peninsula in salt air. Hardware on the water pits. Inland Boston streets ice and take plow snow.
