Pittsfield
Pittsfield is the Berkshire county seat, a small city in the Housatonic valley between Dalton, Lenox, and Lanesborough. Pittsfield has a downtown, older neighborhoods, and outer streets. Some houses have garages. Many closer-in buildings do not. Outer streets look more like ordinary residential doors. Pittsfield sees significant snow and cold compared with Norfolk or Bristol counties.
We never service freight bays. We do service a house-size sectional that happens to be on a workshop. The parts are the same ones we replace on a home: springs, cables, rollers, and openers. If the door is larger than that, we will tell you we are the wrong company.
Low ceilings rule out some motors. We look at the joists on site and we will not promise a rail unit that will not fit. The choice of belt or chain follows the noise you want and the room above the door. Balance still comes before any new motor.
