Newton
Newton is the city of villages, from Newton Corner and Nonantum to West Newton, Newton Centre, and Chestnut Hill, between Boston, Brookline, Waltham, and Needham. Nonantum and Newton Corner are tighter and older. West Newton and Newton Centre have larger houses and attached garages. Some carriage bays remain.
Lots are not rural. An older carriage bay and a two-car door in a later neighborhood are different estimates. Close-in winter, tree cover, freeze-thaw. The Charles edge stays damp. Rollers with flat spots thump every time they pass a hinge. The door can walk out of the track if a roller is worn small.
We replace the set and reset any hinge that has shifted. Dial (781) 602-0737 for the visit. It is a house call, with the price written first. Color, windows, and insulation are choices we can price after the opening is measured. We do not print an energy rating as a promise.
A door that still seals and travels does not have to be replaced. We will say when the sections are finished and a new door is the honest job.
