Middlesex County
Ayer is the small railroad town beside Devens, between Groton, Shirley, and Littleton. Ayer has a compact downtown and modest residential streets. Garages are smaller on average than in the wealthier western suburbs. A house door is the work we do, not a depot building. After the spring is changed, the door should stay where you leave it.
That check happens before the opener is trusted. Water sitting on a torn seal rusts the low steel. We replace the seal when the sections themselves are still solid. Belt shreds and chain skips are opener repairs. A door that slams is still a spring, and we keep those straight.
A heavy door is a spring problem until the hand test says otherwise. We repair that part in the garage and reconnect the motor afterward. You should see the door hold itself at half travel. Call (781) 602-0737 to book directly.
