Blackstone is the town on the Rhode Island line in the Blackstone River valley, between Millville and the state line. Blackstone sees valley damp and a modest snow season. The river road stays wetter than the side streets. Bottom fixtures that crack on a heavy door are replaced with the cable.
A patch on the old casting is not the repair. We watch the door from inside while it moves, so a roller that hops is seen rather than guessed at. Vacation mode and lock switches on the wall control are checked when a remote suddenly does nothing. Both cables are inspected when one has slack, because the other is usually the same age.
