Hampden County
Springfield is the largest city in western Massachusetts, on the Connecticut River, from the downtown and South End to Forest Park and Sixteen Acres. Springfield has triple-deckers and dense housing near downtown and the South End. Sixteen Acres and outer neighborhoods have more driveways and conventional garage doors.
The city is not one housing type. A triple-decker bay and a Sixteen Acres two-car door are different estimates. There is no storefront in the city. Springfield sees river-valley cold, snow, and wind. Springfield sees hills and the flats ice differently. We level the door after the new spring is on.
A door that sits cockeyed wears the new parts immediately. A panel rubbing the jamb on one side is a hinge or a track issue. We correct that piece and run the door. If the sensors are in the sun and blinking, we shade or realign them before we replace a good pair of eyes.
