In short. Keep children and pets on the house side of a door that is heavy, crooked, or reversing. No child-safety procedure is printed beyond that.
A door with a broken spring, a loose cable, or a habit of reversing is not something to demonstrate for a curious child or to test with a pet in the bay. Move them before the appointment, and mention they were in the habit of being there so the technician expects a busy household.
Auto-reverse exists so a closing door will go back up when it meets an obstacle. If yours does not, or if it reverses when nothing is in the way, that is the symptom. Do not adjust force screws to 'fix' either behavior from a page.
We will not publish games, tests, or balancing tricks that involve a person under the door. The safe version of curiosity is a phone call.
Impact damage and a sensor problem are different, and both are calls.
The visit says what failed. Making it safer depends on what we find.
