Berkshire County
Sheffield is the southernmost large town in the Berkshires, on the Housatonic between Great Barrington and the Connecticut line. Sheffield has a long main road, older houses, and open farmland. Garages and barns both exist. Residential doors are on houses, not in a city grid. A visit is by schedule.
Sheffield sees snow and wind across open fields. A heavy door is lifted by hand, with the motor unhooked, before anyone talks about replacing the opener. The stop molding is reset if the door is hitting it. That is a small adjustment after the rollers are in. We listen to the unit with the door disconnected.
Noise that remains is the opener. Noise that stops was the door. Call (781) 602-0737 to book directly.
