Hampshire County
Pelham is a small hill town directly east of Amherst, toward Shutesbury and Belchertown. These are house bays, not campus buildings. An older single opening is common on the hill lots. Shade on the hill east of Amherst holds a freeze after the valley road has already gone to slush.
A kinked cable is replaced even when only a few strands show. The rest of that line is already tired. Hinges with elongated holes are replaced. Tightening a bolt in a wallowed hole will not hold the roller. A sound motor stays in place when the door was the problem.
We do not replace a unit that still lifts a balanced door. The motor is not the first suspect. We lift the door by hand, and a heavy door means the spring. That spring is replaced and the door is balanced. The motor is connected again only if it still runs.
