Berkshire County
Dalton is the paper-mill town immediately east of Pittsfield, in the Housatonic valley. Dalton has a compact center and residential streets. House garages are ordinary. Mill buildings are not the residential doors. The drive is long. Dalton sees snow and cold, more than the Boston basin. A door that slams shut from a standing start needs the lifting power corrected, not a stronger motor setting.
Grinding once per panel is a worn roller. Changing only the noisiest one leaves the rest to fail next. We cycle the door from the wall button and from the remote. Both have to work before the opener job is closed. A chain with slack is tightened only after the door is balanced.
Tightening it on a heavy door burns the motor. Balance first, then the chain, then a test from the wall button. Call (781) 602-0737 to book directly.
