Worcester County
Douglas is a rural town on the Rhode Island line between Uxbridge, Sutton, and Webster. Douglas sees inland cold, not ocean salt, despite the state line. Douglas sees freeze-thaw and wind on the open roads. An older extension spring along the horizontal track is still ordinary work. We replace it at the opening.
A bottom seal hardened into a ridge is cut off and a new seal is fit to the measured width. Force on the opener is set so the door reverses on a real obstacle, not so it can smash through one. Balance is the door holding still at mid-height with the opener unhooked, and we do not leave until it does.
