Worcester County
Fitchburg is the mill city on the Nashua River in northern Worcester County, built on hills. Fitchburg has triple-deckers and mill housing on steep streets, with more conventional houses on the outer roads. Many buildings have no garage. Those that do often have a single bay. Do not force a crooked door.
Distance from Walpole means the schedule has to be asked. Fitchburg sees cold, snowy, and hilly. Ice on steep streets runs toward doors. We level the door after the new spring is on. A door that sits cockeyed wears the new parts immediately. A seal that lets daylight along the floor is measured and replaced.
We do not stretch an old seal back into place. If the opener runs but the door does not move, the trolley or the carriage is the first piece we check. Call (781) 602-0737 to book directly.
