Berkshire County
Mount Washington is the southwestern corner of the state, high and sparsely settled on the New York and Connecticut lines. Houses sit far apart, with long drives between them and no village of garage doors. A visit this far up is a scheduled trip, not a promise that we will arrive within the hour.
The ridge is open to the wind and gets heavy snow. A driveway up here may stay unplowed after the valley roads are clear. Slack on one side is secured first. The door is not used again until it hangs square in the rails. After the door is back in the rails, we cycle it twice.
The second pass is the one that shows a remaining bind. A trolley that sticks halfway is cleaned and aligned. A new motor will stick in the same spot if the rail is bent. Call (781) 602-0737 to book directly.
