Berkshire County
Cheshire is the small town between Adams and Lanesborough, with a reservoir and a short center. Garages are ordinary residential bays, not harbor sheds. A heavy two-car door and a small older bay are different visits. The reservoir keeps nearby lots damp. Cheshire sees winter ice forms on a shaded apron even when the center looks dry.
Frayed wire at the drum is replaced because a cable that lets go can drop the whole door. A bent roller stem is replaced rather than bent back. Straightening it leaves a crack that breaks on the next cycle. A humming start capacitor is a common failure. We test it before we quote a whole new opener.
