Permit questions belong to the town. Ask the town what it requires, then call us about the door.
In short. Permit questions belong to the town. Ask the town what it requires, then call us about the door.
Towns differ, and we will not pretend they do not. If you are replacing a door in a place that asks for a permit, ask that office what it wants. The visit can still measure the opening and write an estimate without claiming to be the permit.
Nothing here lists fees, forms, or which municipalities require paperwork. A guess would be worse than a question. Bring what the town gave you if a replacement is likely.
Repair of a spring, a cable, or an operator is a different conversation from a new opening in a new wall.
Ask the town.
We can still look at the door and give you a price if we do not already know the town's form.
